Blog highjacking commencing

Ok, well it's been awhile and i doubt anyone reads this but that's ok. I'm going to use this blog to help motivate me to finish my army in time for battlecry in feb 2011, that's 11 months.

So far i think i a have about 1k of Druchii that i can field, this needs to go up to 2,250 and needs to all be painted, etc.
My goal is to post on here 2-3 times a week, i'm hoping to use monday as a painting day and so will record how that goes. (if i get a camera will even post pics) Wednesday night wargames will be followed by a battle report of the 2-3 games we played that night as well as a small rant about what i could've done differently. Other than that i'll have to play it by ear i guess.

So, last night i played two games against Matt's VC using my Druchii. The first game i proxied my corsairs as repeater crossbow men, Matt was fine with this. my army was: 5 coldone knights, 5 dark riders, a master on coldone and 10 crossbow men. Matt was using an interesting set up with a vampire, 15 ghouls, i think 20 skeletons and 3 fell bats. the first game was a massacre in my favour. in about four turns i managed to wipe the field of his undead horrors, mostly achieved through the use of concentrated firepower and the fact that charging cavalry toasts most infantry.

The second game was a slight victory for Matt with his Vampire securing the objective on the final turn of the game. I think this game would have worked out quite differently if i had not been so over confidant with my coldones and had instead used them in tandam with my corsairs as opposed to galloping off across the table. a good lession for me though.

Also just as a note during games from now on i am intending to take notes so as to be able to give detailed reports as opposed to this post which is essentualy just jumbled points. I also hope that my blogging ability will improve with use and my posts will become more coherient over time.

I'm pretty tired at the moment so will head to bed and hopefully post an outline of the army i am aiming for at 1,000pts and perhaps even decide if i want to take Druchii or Slanneshi Woc to Battlecry.
